Snaga GroteskTheresa Babb: Camden (1898 — 1901)

In the first stretch of 2024, Alessandro Kanina and Boris Andreev put together a catalogue that revs up the works of Theresa Babb (1868-1948) — a pioneering American photographer whose oeuvre has been left to languish, stashed away in the underbelly of the public domain. With self-penned essays in both German and English, the project was propelled by the conviction that Babb’s photographs merit a fresh burst of acclaim and re-examination. The book won silver at the German Photobook Award 24/25.

Snaga Grotesk & Grimys AntiquaBeyond Humanity: Visions of Augmented Futures

“Beyond Humanity: Visions of Augmented Futures” transcends conventional narratives, offering a contemplative exploration of transhumanist ideologies. It traverses the delicate line between human augmentation, commonly hailed as a pinnacle of technological advancement, and the quintessence of humanity. How will the future unfold? Will it be a harmonious collusion between progress and being, or a forewarning of a perilous descent into dystopia? Within its pages, the meaning of being human, the dynamics of power and perception, and the intersection of religion, morality, and ethics with the cyberpunk ethos standing at the threshold are questions that keep resonating.
